ASC Inc. Activities
Protecting the Reserve’s Indigenous Integrity
Members of Action Sweetwater Creek Inc. hold working bees each week. These include propagation of plants indigenous to the reserve, and planting, weeding and light clearing tasks. Water tests are conducted periodically for Melbourne Water.
ASC Inc. activities include:
- Liaising with Frankston City Council and Melbourne Water
- Distributing information to the community
- Representing the community to Council about Development projects
Action Sweetwater Creek Inc. has a membership of about 250 local residents.
ASC Inc. holds community participation days, such as Frog Day, when local reidents were encouraged to develop frog habitats.
Local schools are also encouraged to include the reserve and its wealth of natural infomation in their curriculum
